Well, once again I had to work today. It was another pretty steady day of snotty noses and coughs sprinkled with a UTI here and there just to keep it interesting!
I unfortunately missed the kids trunk or treat event at church, but Grandpa sent photos to me so I could see what they were up to.
After work we all met a Taco Bell for dinner and then we ran home and headed out to go house to house for trick or treating. The kids were having no part of not going house to house!! We immediately were bombarded by swarms of mosquitoes and had to pour on the bug spray to keep from being eaten alive!!! Terrible that it is the end of October and we are still fighting off the little blood suckers!!!
Once we were all protected we started down the street towards Grandma and Grandpa's house hitting every house on the right side of the road with a porch light on. They were in rare form, especially Schnooky. He was running all over the place and hollering nonsense! So funny! Missy was doing her best to keep up with her "bruders". At one point I was carrying Missy and hers and Schnooky's bags of candy!! I had to pass her and the candy off to Daddy at one point cuz I was just plum tuckered out.
Missy was so cute when we were walking down the street. Every time she saw her shadow she would say, "look mommy there's my Tinker Bell shadow". She just loves Tinker Bell and she was dressed up in a little flower costume that she calls her Tinker Bell costume, so of course she would see a Tinker Bell shadow!
We got to Grandma's just before 8pm and they dove into the candy. Daddy and I headed home shortly thereafter with the Noni girl so Daddy could get to bed early as he had to leave at about 0400 for work the next day.
All in all a fun night was had by all and then to all a goodnight!!!
Unfortunately, Peanut missed all the festivities as he was working until 11pm. Just glad he is getting some hours at work this week. He needs the money for sure and needs to save it and not spend every dime he gets 2 days after he gets it!!! Money management is definitely not his thing, but he needs to get it together cuz we won't be there to save him forever!!!

Fun Times!!
Woobie and I left bright and early Friday morning (10/29) for his ENT appointment. My poor little guy is allergic to everything under the sun. He already gets 2 allergy shots a week and for the last few weeks he has been stuffy despite his shots. We decided to draw one blood sample to see if there is something that we are missing in his shots and we started him on Nasonex for his stuffiness.
We got back home just in time to load up and go pick up Grandma to head to church for the preschool fall festival that we were invited to by Miss Marti. The kids had a great time. They played some games and took rides in the wagon and played on the playground.
Also, after much convincing and mommy getting her face painted with a big purple butterfly, Missy got a little Tinker Bell and Schnooky got a spider painted on their faces. Woobie, however could not be talked into getting his face painted at all.
We dropped Grandma off at her house and then headed home for some lunch and rest time. About 230 we ventured outside to play. It quickly turned into a dirt fest with all three of the little urchins sitting in the dirt and covering themselves in it. They were having a blast. Even my little princess was knee deep in dirt!!!
Needless to say, the next activity was to bathe the little dirt monsters. They were black from head to toe, but hey what's a little dirt among family!!
With everyone dressed in their jammies it was time to drop them off with Grandma and Grandpa for a sleepover cuz it was date night for mommy and daddy!! Grandma and Grandpa took them to dinner at KFC in their jammies and then to Wendy's for frosties!!! Lots of fun!!!
Hubby and I went out to dinner with the Sullivan's to Osaka!! I love that place. Calorie counting was out the window for the night for sure. Then we went to the Wynsma's for dessert and more visiting with our friends. I feel so blessed to have such wonderful friends. We sure missed the Benson's but hopefully next time we can all get together.
We headed home around nine to help Peanut get ready for his baseball prospect camp that he was going to on Saturday. Then it was time to call it a night so I could be fresh for work!
Peanut headed out the door bright and early Saturday to head to Daytona for his baseball camp. He reports that it went well and the coaches really sat up and took notice when he came into pitch. Hoping he really pulls those grades into shape and finishes his Senior year with a bang.
I dropped by Grandma's to see the kidlets before heading to work. They all loaded up and were heading to the fields for the boy's tball game at the same time. I blew them kisses out the window as I jumped on the highway and they went to the fields.
Work was busy but the day went by fast. I got home in time to have a little fun with the kids in the backyard and then it was dinner and bedtime.

Pumpkins, Pumpkins and more Pumpkins!!!
Well, work went fairly well on Monday (10/25). I told my buddies at CVS about my impending departure from MC. I will definitely miss them too as they have also become like a second family to me. Not to worry though I will stop in to bug them every now and then.
Tuesday me and the kiddies and Grandma pretty much spent the day at the Pumpkin Patch. We went up there initially for storytime at 11am, but no one showed up. Meanwhile, they asked if we could help from 2-4 as someone had cancelled. So we went home for a quick lunch and I got about an hour and a half of MC work done and then it was off to the patch. We were already signed up for 4-6 so we were in for a 4 hour marathon. The kids were loving every minute of it. They played on the hay bales and helped find rotten pumpkins in the patch.
Daddy brought dinner up a little after 5 pm and then we high tailed it out of there at 6 to take the very dirty children to Grandpa and then it was time for the ChaCha Peak 8 fitness hour before Bible Study.
Grandpa bathed the little urchins and then they carved a little pumpkin together. They had a great day for sure!!! I know they all slept well that night and so did I.
Wednesday was a MC work day at home for Mommy. The kidlets stayed with Grandma for most of the day. The alarm guy came to the house around 0800 to switch over our system and I worked on MC projects.
A little after noon I got ready and headed to Tuskawilla to meet with Terri and have lunch and then finish her checkoffs. Before leaving though we had a little excitement. The manager called into the clinic and asked us for help because a woman was attacked in the parking lot. So we donned our gloves and headed to the front of the store to find a woman bleeding from the back of her head surrounded by police officers. She was leaving the store and a man grabbed her and knocked her backwards and stole her prescription which was a pain medication. I also saw my good friend Amy's hubby Jason in action when he came to the scene to take care of our patient. It is a small world after all.
I then headed toward home and straight to the church where Grandma and the babies were for Wacky Wednesday. Apparently earlier in the day at the patch Missy Miss was bitten by a bug, but when questioned she claimed that it was an elephant that bit her and that afterwards the elephant took her for a ride!! Such wild imaginations children have.
I took the boys home and dropped them off with Daddy for tball practice and then took the truck back to the church and had yummy chili dinner with Grandma, Ninny and Missy Miss.
I was helping Missy with a number puzzle after dinner and asked her what the number 5 was, and she replied "um 60,000". Who knew she even knew the number 60,000 or how to say it for that matter. Well, at least she said a number.
Daddy returned with the boys around 630pm and dropped them at the church for the second part of Wacky Wednesday with Missy Miss and then we took Peanut to dinner at Tijuana Flats. I didn't eat anything, but it was nice to have some alone time with our teenager to find out what was going on in his life.
We got home around 730 and started carving the giant pumpkin!! The pumpkin guts were really yucky. The littles got home in time to try their hand at degutting the pumpkin, but soon gave up because is was too gross. Peanut carved a really cool spooky house in the pumpkin and it now sits on the porch awaiting the little trick or treaters on Halloween!!!! BOOOO!!!!!
The munchkins didn't get to bed until almost 10 which is way late for them. I soon followed suit. They all slept in this morning and Missy didn't even get up until about 0845. What a treat!!
We ate a leisurely breakfast and then had worship time. After that they all played and I finished the grocery list and cutting my coupons until Grandma came and then we ate lunch before me and Missy took off to do the hunting and gathering.
Grandma took the two boys to the "pinch place" to get Woobie's allergy shots and then the went to McD's for an hour or so. They met us back at the house and helped unload the groceries for me.
Missy and Schnooky helped me put the groceries away while Woobie lounged on the couch watching PBS. Then I taught Schnooky how to fold the dishtowels. He did a really good job. He is definitely my little worker!!! Missy is pretty helpful too!!! Woobie on the other hand would prefer for someone else to help unless of course there might be money involved!!! No, he has his moments when he jumps right in, but usually Schnooky and Missy are always at the ready!!!
I made dinner and of course Schnooky wouldn't eat anything I made. We kept telling him the shake n bake chicken was just like chicken nuggets and he declared that he didn't like chicken nuggets, he only like hamburgers!!! Go figure!!! Usually the only thing he will eat is chicken nuggets!! I must say though that they are getting a little better about eating cheeseburgers when we go out to McD's lately which is a nice change especially since I refuse to let them eat their chicken nugget Happy Meals. They are only allowed to have the chicken selects, but they don't have Happy Meals made with those. They are beginning to realize if they eat cheeseburgers they get Happy Meals again!!! Smart kids I have!!!
Finally, after compromising and letting Schnooky eat a ham sandwich we took everyone outside. Daddy let the boys hit some balls off the Tee for a while and Missy played on the playground. Then the boys played on the playground for a while and Missy played in the dirt. She was covered from her fingers to her armpits in dirt literally and of course then smeared it all over her face. She kept coming over and trying to give Mommy a dirt hug!!! She was 100 times dirtier than her brothers for sure.
Needless to say it was into the tub for everyone when we came inside. Then it was off too bed for them. They were out in about 2 minutes!!!
Grandma and I powered walked with the Nonster and then I plopped down in front of this computer to catch up my blog!!! I am now caught up and going to call it a night!!!!

The end of an era!!!
We made it to church almost on time today. We were only a few minutes late. I am so glad that our church is so close to home. After church we relaxed at Grandma's house and ate an early dinner of yummy pork tenderloin, zucchini, sweet potatoes and greenie beanies.
After dinner the kids played on the back porch for a while and then we went home to meet Daddy after he got off from work and I promptly left to go to my last staff meeting with MC. My goal was to arrive early so I could break the news to my boss that I was leaving. However, several other folks got there early as well, but about 10 minutes before the meeting started I got a few minutes to talk to her in private and share the news. She was happy for me and sad at the same time. It is definitely a bittersweet thing for me.
At the end of the meeting I made the announcement to everyone else and got quite an overwhelming reaction of shock and horror from everyone. I was so flattered to see how much everyone thought of me. I tried to squelch the tears but it did get a little emotional. Most of these people have been my second family for the last 5 years. I will miss them all dearly, but hope to stay in touch.
As hard as this decision was, I know it is the right one. I am so excited and nervous at the same time to start the new chapter of my career.
I didn't get home until almost 10pm and it is goodnight blogtown. I must get my beauty rest to tackle work in the morning!!!

Old Friends, Old Navy and the Perfect Pumpkin!!!
I got called into work on Monday morning (10/18). What a way to end my vacation. I only had to work the first half so it wasn't too bad.
I was able to have lunch with my dear friend Carin that I have known since high school. It was so nice to see her and catch up on each other lives and reminisce about the old days. Our lives are so busy that it is rare that we are able to get together so it was a nice unexpected treat for both of us.
Tuesday (10/19) was coop day. We decided to only go for the first half and then went to Old Navy to take advantage of the last day of a buy one get one coupon. As we were pulling out of the driveway it was a tight squeeze getting out between cars and while trying to avoid running over a sprinkler head I grazed the bumper of one the parked cars. No dents just a little paint rubbed off. That event sealed the deal for my decision that we needed to simplify and bow out of coop for a while. It has just become too stressful to get everyone packed up and ready to go and then Woobie doesn't really participate in all of the activities so I have made the executive decision to take an activitiy off of our already overflowing plate.
Shopping at Old Navy cheered me up, however as I was able to fit into size 2 pants!!!!! Yeah!!!! I haven't seen that size in almost 6 years. I also got some really cute jeans and tops for Missy Miss for free. Her winter clothes are getting way too small for her. My sweet baby girl is growing up way too fast, as are all of my sweet babies.
The ChaCha's arrived around 6 pm and we loaded everyone up in the strollers and headed out for our power walk. We walked for almost an hour. It was great. Then it was time to tuck the kiddies in bed and start studying Phillipians. I do so value the fellowship with my sisters in Christ.
I worked the next 2 days and then half day on Friday (10/22). I then had to run by Dr. Sanchez's office and sign more applications. There is a lot of paperwork involved in getting hospital privileges!! I am officially giving my notice this Sunday before our staff meeting. It will be a relief to have it all out in the open. I will truly miss all of my colleagues at MC, but it is time to move my career in a new direction.
I arrived home to the munckins and Daddy about 3. We all cleaned up the tornado that ran through our family room and threw toys everywhere. Then all the kiddies played jump on Daddy. Missy was so funny, she saw Daddy's "boob" through the side of his shirt and exclaimed, "There's your belly button"! She could not be convinced otherwise either. We both laughed so hard when she said it. Classic moment for sure.
Daddy took the boys out for some baseball practice and I watched my sweet little Princess dig in the dirt. How lady like!! She was quite enjoying trying to dump dirt on mommy and then she switched to covering her shoes in dirt and then stomping it off. Who needs expensive toys when you have a pile of dirt with some buckets and shovels!!!
Daddy and I were fortunate enough to have a date night Friday night. Grandma and Grandpa called and offered their services and a $10 off coupon to Smokey Bones to boot!!! We had a nice relaxing meal and caught up with each other about the week's events.
We picked up the kidlets a little after 6 and all were snug in their beds asleep by just before 7pm. Everything went according to our plan as we were expecting someone from Safetouch Alarm company to come at 7 to talk about switching over our alarm system. We are now officially switching to them and saving some money at the same time!!
This morning dawned early and it was pedal to the metal to get everyone fed, dressed and out the door by 0830 for a 0900 T-ball game. The boys had a great time as usual and were eager to go celebrate after the game.
We left the ballpark before 1030 and then decided to stop at the Fall Festival at a church we were passing because it wasn't quite lunch time at McD's yet. The kids had a good time playing little games and climbing in a fire truck.
Then it was off to McD's to celebrate with cheeseburgers and fries!!! Of course the celebration was not complete without playing on the playground. We cut it a little short as there were getting to be too many kids
running around the playground. They were all very obedient and came right away without complaining to get their shoes on and get ready to leave. I was very proud indeed.
Grandma and I then took the kiddies to a used book sale in Casselberry to add to our homeschool library. There were a ton of books to sort through and the munchkins did pretty well while we looked and looked. We got a bunch of books and some VHS movies for a steal!!!
This evening when big brother got home we all went to the pumpkin patch at church for our yearly quest for the biggest most perfect pumpkin!!! We got some photos of everyone and let the kids play on the hay bales for a while before heading home for dinner and bedtime!!!

Pumpkins, Petting Farms and Touchdowns
Well, vacation is over and it is back to work tomorrow. As usual it went by way too fast, but we did have some fun times this week together.
Wednesday (10/13) I was supposed to meet with the ID doctor that I have applied for a job with, but was not able to meet him because of some meetings that he had. I did however, go and meet one of his other NP's and one of his rounding nurses. It was great to get to meet them and see what I would be doing if I get the job.
I got home a little after 4pm and then Daddy dropped me and Missy Miss off at the church on his way to tball practice with the boys. The pumpkins were delivered a little after 5pm and the unloading process began a little before 6pm. With the help of lots of folks we unloaded about 1700 pumpkins in record time. Then it was time to hurry and eat your pizza before the mosquitos carried you away. Daddy and the little boys were able to get there and help out for a while too.
We got home about 8pm and tucked everyone snug in their beds. Then it was time to relax and take it easy for the rest of the night.
Thursday we stayed around the house and I cleaned the bathrooms with the help of my little cleaners. I set them to work on the doors and baseboards. They were very excited when their paper towel was dirty enough that they got another one. Missy Miss watched TV while we cleaned and then it was time for a little lunch and then rest time.
I left a little after 1pm to head back up to the hospital and meet the ID doctor. I met with him for a few minutes and he offered me the job!!! I then went to his office and met with his office manager to discuss the details. The salary and benefits are going to be great. I am so excited and nervous at the same time.
I then drove around in circles for the next 30-40 minutes trying to find the Medical Staff office so that I could pick up my application for clinical privileges at Florida Hospital. Boy is there a lot of information to fill out. I have been working on it all weekend so that I can get it turned in ASAP.
Friday Mom, Ninny and I took the little kiddies on a field trip with co-op to Green Meadows petting farm. We had so much fun!!! The kids got to chase chickens, pet sheep, as well as hold guinea pigs, bunnies and baby chicks and ducklings. They also got to milk a cow. Schnooky did not want to milk the cow because he said it was too dirty!! Go figure!! He will dig in the dirt, but won't touch a cow's udder!!
They also got to ride a pony and go on a train ride and then a hayride too. At the end of the afternoon they all got to go into the pumpkin patch and choose a pumpkin. It was a fun time to all of us and the weather was beautiful.
We headed home from the petting farm and ran into the house long enough to let the dog out and change clothes. Then we headed to Leesburg with Grandma and Grandpa to meet Aunt Sheila, Uncle Ken and Lauren at Captain D's for dinner and then went to Kendyll's high school football game. She plays the clarinet in the marching band and we got to see them perform at half time.
On our way to Leesburg we were having a talk with the kids about strangers and asking them where they lived and their phone numbers, etc. Grandpa asked Schnooky what his name was and he very matter of factly replied, "Schnooky Bear" and Grandpa said Schnooky what, to which he said "Schnooky Bear Sean". I guess we call him Schnooky Bear a lot if he really thinks that is his name. Too cute!!!
The kids were so good the whole night even though it was a late one. They also had to sit on our laps the whole night because we were sitting on some very dangerous bleachers with big gaps that they could easily fall through. As a matter of fact a little boy did fall over 10 feet through the bleachers while we were there. He was okay, but so scary!!!
Just before halftime, Aunt Sheila, Lauren and I took the three little kids over to the home team side so we would be able to see Kendyll's band perform and Woobie asked if we were still supposed to cheer for the white and purple team since we were now on the other side of the field. A lady in front of us turned and told him he could cheer for the orange team if he wanted, but Aunt Sheila told him that we still were cheering for our team, but we could cheer for both bands when they performed.
Peanut met us there around halftime. He had been at his schools football game until then. It was nice to have all my kiddies together. Daddy missed the event as he was enjoying time on his Harley at Biketoberfest!!!
We didn't get home until almost 11pm and summarily put all of our sleeping babies to bed. Then it was off to bed for the rest of us as well.
Saturday the boys were up and dressed in their uniforms, which they dug out of the laundry hamper, by 0730. Way too early for me!! I was trying to snooze on the couch with Missy as they were bugging me to tuck in their shirts and put on their shoes. I promptly sent them in to see their Daddy aka Coach!!!
Their game wasn't for another 3 hours, but they were ready to go!! They so love to play tball. We finally loaded up all 4 kids and headed down the road a little after 10. The boys did really well and Schnooky even got to play first base!!
We went with Grandma and Grandpa to celebrate after the game at Taco Bell/Pizza Hut. We then headed home and Daddy reved up the Harley and headed to Daytona again and I took Missy Miss with me to my friend Lisa's baby shower. Peanut stayed home with the two little boys to babysit.
We had a nice time at Lisa's shower. Missy Miss slept through most of it. It was nice to see the little Mama and also our friend Dawn too. We hit the road for home a little after 430pm to relieve Peanut from his babysitting duties.
After we arrived home we all struck out for a walk around the block. Woobie and Schnooky rode their bikes and I walked with Missy in the stroller and of course the Nonster too. Peanut helped Schnooky get around the block. It was a little bit of a rough start, but we got into a groove and everyone made it around. Woobie rode his bike the whole way. I was very proud of him.
Then it was Chicken Nuggets, Mac n Cheese and fruit for dinner. Bedtime was soon after. Daddy arrived home just in time to help tuck everyone in. Of course Missy was having no part of going to bed because she had slept until almost 4pm at the baby shower. She snuggled with Daddy on the couch while I went for a sprint around the block. She was so cute as she snuggled close and asked, "Can I sit with Daddy?". How can you resist that sweet face. She finally went down about 9pm.
Everyone slept pretty late this morning. Schnooky didn't come in until 0740. I was in total shock. He went and played in his room and then both boys came in around 0825 to see me and Missy who of course was snuggled in bed with me since 0200. What a treat to sleep in with all three of them in the house!!!
When I was getting Missy dressed we were snuggled on her bed and she would say "I love you so", and then I would say "no, I love you so" and then she would say, "No, I love you so". It was so cute just snuggling with my baby girl and being silly together.
Grandma came and took the little ones to church early while I got ready and then Peanut and I met them there. After church we volunteered to help at the pumpkin patch because there was no one signed up. The kids ran around and played in the patch until Grandma came back about 145 and took them to her house. Peanut left about 245 and then came back and picked me up about 330 and dropped me at Mom's house before heading to work.
The kids played and then we gave them bathes about 4pm and got ready for dinner. They all ate very well at dinner and not a lot of fussing either. Woobie and Missy stayed at Grandma and Grandpa's and Schnooky wanted to come home with Daddy.
Grandma and I powered walked with the Nonster and then I came back to work some more on the credentialling application and catch on my blogging.
I am officially caught up!!! Now it is time to call it a night!!
Crazy wonderful life!!!
Well, the weekend is over and we are enjoying our vacation. I started the week by going and having my physical and PPD for UF. I also had fasting labs and a Vitamin D level. I am anxious to see how my labs look after I have lost almost all my preprego weight and have been exercising and taking my vitamins.
When I got home it was lunch time and then everyone rested on the couch and watched a movie. When rest time was over we went outside to play on the playground for a while until everyone was hot and sweaty and wanted to go in. Sad that it is almost the middle of October and we are still sweating!!!
We then decided that we would hit the grocery stores. So we loaded up and headed to Aldi's and then Super Target. Before hitting the grocery stores we stopped to get gas a BJ's. Schnooky was being impatient and wanting the music back on so he told me that if I didn't hurry and turn the music back on he was going to be itchy! The things that boy says sometimes are just too funny. We finished just before 5pm and raced home to put everything away and feed the munchkins before the ChaCha's arrived to go walking before Bible Study.
The girls arrived and we put everyone in strollers and embarked on our walk around the block with everyone in tow including the Nonster. We went around twice and then we let the little go free just before we got home so they could run home. They were all tuckered out and went right to sleep like a dream!!
Bible Study went well and then it was time to call it a night. I was fast asleep before 1030pm.
This morning Schnooky was up at 0635 and the other two awoke a little after 0700. We had breakfast and then it was zoo time.
We had a great time. Most of the animals were out and eager to see us. The highlight of course was the petting zoo. The kids loved feeding the goats, cows and sheep. Then we took a ride on the train and the carosel before heading to Wendy's for lunch.
We got home a little after one and rested for an hour or so while Daddy worked outside. Then the kidlets donned their tool belts so they could go out and help Daddy. Too cute!!!
Then we decided to load up and go to some plant nurserys to look at some foliage for the front of the house. The kiddies were a little wound up. They were tromping in the mud and Missy was running away from us. Then the boys were playing in the dirt and Schnooky was throwing rocks!! It was definitely time to call it a day.
The little ones ate their favorite dinner in front of the TV. On the menu-graham sticks, cheese and raisins!! They are so picky these days. It is all I can do to get them to eat healthy.
They were all asleep by 7pm and then Daddy, Peanut and I had a nice quiet dinner together. Every now and then it is nice to have a peaceful dinner with Peanut to just catch up on the goings on in his life.
Peanut and I then took the dog for a walk and I preached about getting his act together and finishing his Senior year well. We talked about how he needs to get his priorities in order to do this. Hopefully he heard at least some of what I said!!
Well, I am now up to date!! Whew!! What a crazy wonderful life!!!

Vacation!!!
It has been almost a week since I last posted and I am happy to report that I am in the midst of enjoying a much needed vacation!!!
I worked Thursday (10/7) and then as of 730 pm I started my vacation!!! Friday we took Missy to a followup appointment with ENT about her hoarseness. It has improved 100% and the followup scope revealed no nodule left on her right vocal cord!! Yeah!!! Our little singing bee can sing on!
After the appointment we went to the Lake Mary Police Department so I could get my fingerprints done for the background check for my UF admission and then we were off to Quest labs so I could do my urine drug screen. It's a good thing I am a fine upstanding citizen!!!
We stopped for lunch at Cici's and everyone chowed down on yummy pizza and brownies. Missy Miss chowed down 2 brownies and would've eaten another one if we had let her. I do love Cici's Pizza and the price is right too.
Then we were off to Target to return a booster seat and then we went to the mall and I ran in to buy Missy another pair of white sandels since we can't find her first pair that we bought her anywhere. Our final stop was 7-Eleven for the much promised slurpees for everyone.
Peanut was up very early and down the road before 0730 on Saturday (10/9) to take his SAT's again. Hoping to get an even better score this time around. The rest of us were up and out pretty early Saturday morning as well for the little boys t-ball game. They are both doing really well. Woobie has quite an arm and throws the ball to first so well. Schnooky is too cute runnning his little legs off around the bases.
After the game we went to my friend Bryan's house to pick up some tickets to the UF vs LSU game for Peanut so he and his cousin could see the game that night. Then we went to "celebrate" at Wendy's with lunch and frosty's for all. Schnooky was too funny while eating his frosty. He said "I'm getting a brain freeze". Good times!!!
I left a little after one for my ACLS class. I expected to be there until about 8pm, but was once again the only one there and finished reviewing in record time and Sam let me go a little after 3pm. It was nice to get home early. Daddy took the little boys out for some baseball practice and then we headed to Don Pablo's for dinner.
Sunday the littles were all up at 0600. I found Missy Miss perched in Woobie's bed and the two boys standing on either side of the toilet in a peeing contest!!!! Never a dull moment around here!
We left for church a little after 1000 and got Missy checked in the nursery with Aunt Ninny. It was nice to be in the service this week. I was teaching for the whole month of September and then missed the first week of October because of work. After church Daddy helped set up the pumpkin patch in anticipation for the pumpkins to arrive this Wednesday. We then rushed home a little after one so I could leave for my ACLS class.
Class was great and I passed with no problem. I am once again a card carrying ACLS provider!! We finished about 7pm and I stopped by my dear friend Stacey's house and was so glad to see that she was home. We haven't seen each other for over a year. It was the first time I got to see her house too. Such a cute house she has and so nicely decorated. We visited for about 2 hours. It was so nice to catch up. It has been way too long. Hopefully it won't be that long before we see each other again.
It was a nice ending to a long week. Let the fun continue!!!

Oh what a week!!
Where do I start? It has been quite a whirlwind of a week to say the least. I feel like I have worked everyday. The kids are all doing great. No more fevers or complaints of brains hurting. Thank you God!! The little ones are almost finished with their antibiotics from their bout with strep throat. I pray they will not have to take anymore antibiotics for a very long time.
So, I worked on Thursday (9/30) all day and then Friday I had to leave around 11am to take a ACLS prep course to refresh my memory on ECG and pharmacology. It was great. I was the only one there so had good one on one instruction and I was thrilled at how much I actually remembered especially since I haven't read an ECG or pushed a code drug in quite a few years. I am so thrilled to be getting back into the acute care world.
On my way home Friday afternoon I had to make a stop at the tire place to have a hunk of metal removed from my tire and patched. A little unexpected detour in my day. Thank goodness for road hazard protection. Highly recommend it!!!
Unfortunately, I had to work Saturday and Sunday so I missed the boys second T-ball game and church. We had a nice Sunday dinner after work though and it was good to see the munchkins. Peanut was gone all weekend to Aunt Sheila's house and then got home in time Sunday to go right to work for 6pm.
Then I worked again on Monday!!! See what I mean by I feel like I have worked everyday!!! It was a very busy day for sure. Saw 35 and referred out 2-3. Nonstop fun for sure. I got home that night and was ready to crash!
Tuesday morning I left around 930am for an interview for a possible job with Infectious Disease rounding in the hospital. I am feeling like I would really like this opportunity and it is flexible too for my home and upcoming school schedule. I am waiting to hear if I am offered the job or not. She said she would get back to me by Monday at the latest. I do so hate waiting. I worry too much when I have to wait!!! I am asking God to help me with that!!!
After the interview, I headed to coop to meet mom, Aunt Ninny and the kids. I stopped for gas on my way there and proceeded to splash gas all over my good interview clothes when I was taking the nozzle out of the tank. It was awful. Thank goodness I had brought a change of clothes. I had to huddle in the back of the van sitting at the pump and change my smelly clothes.
Coop was fun but exhausting. Running after 8 preschoolers will just wear a body out. I definitely am not preschool teacher material I can tell you!! Missy was so cute during song time. She just loves to sing and do the motions to all the songs. My little singing bee for sure. Schnooky didn't get into the songs too much until we did ring around the rosy. He loved that and when we all fell down he would just sit right down. I guess he has some good padding on his rearend!!!
I didn't see too much of Woobie because he was going to the different activities with the K-2 group. I got to steal a hug or two every now and then when our pathes crossed during the day. He was having a great time.
Grandma was on Chicken duty. One of the activities was looking at the parts of raw chicken fryer. I have a fetish about raw chicken/turkey and gladly relinquished the duty to Grandma. Give me cow eyeballs any day over raw chicken!!! Can you say SALMONELLA!!!!
We got home just in time for Daddy to load up the boys and head to practice. I then dropped Missy off with Grandma and went to get dog food. Poor Noni had not one morsel left. As soon as I returned it was time to strap on the walking shoes and truck around the block with the ChaChas and our little ChaCha in training. Of course we couldn't leave the Nonster behind either.
We returned a little before 7pm and then Grandpa took over and us ladies commenced to studying The Word!!! We finished up Collosians and next week we will begin Phillipians. I so love my sisters in Christ!!!
We were up bright and early this morning. Mr Schnooky was being a little whiny at first and his sweet sissy offered to read him her Dora book to help make him happy. So sweet to think of her brother like that.
Aunt Krissy came over around 0730 and I got ready for work and headed out the door, late as usual! I made it to work a few minutes late, but not too bad. Aunt Krissy and the kids had a great time and then Daddy came home and picked the kiddies up and came up to meet me for lunch.
It was great to see everyone. The boys were so cute together as I watched them play tic tac toe. Missy was a bouncy girl and hardly sat still the whole time. All too soon it was time to head back to work, and that is when it happened......
I was pulling forward out of the parking spot and totally did not see this little white neon until I ran into it. She apparently was coming down the aisle and I just totally blanked out and pulled out right into her. I didn't do too much damage to the truck, except scrape the left front bumper a little and knock out one of the fog lights. It is hard to say how much damage I actually did to her car as it was a little beat up to begin with . There was a police offiicer inside of the Publix and she came over and surveyed things. It was decided that we would just exchange insurance information and not file a report. I thought that was very nice of the lady to not want to make a big deal out of things. She was very quiet and it was hard to read her. I apologize several times. Not sure if she will contact her insurance company or not, but we will see. We have no plans to contact our insurance company about the whole mess especially since there was very little damage to the truck. Thank goodness I was driving the truck and not the van.
I was so mortified by the whole thing. I haven't had an accident in over 12 years. Hubby came back to the parking lot and stayed until we were finished. Schnooky kept asking to get out so he could see the police lady. Before she left Daddy asked her to peak her head in the van and say hello. The kids thought that was great.
Finally, I got back to work only a half an hour late!!! I had only one person waiting for me and she had been informed of the situation by the pharmacy. The rest of the day went by relatively quickly as I was pretty busy herding them in and out of the clinic. I was very glad when it was time to put up the closed sign and go home.
I arrived home just in time to say goodbye to hubby as he had to go back to work. We are like two ships passing in the night it feels like sometimes. I am so glad we start vacation soon. I will officially start my vacation as of 730pm tomorrow night!!!
And then to cap off the night I spilled half of my Vitamin water all over the inn table and floor. I clearly have a foggy brain today!! And on that note I am going to close and take me and my foggy brain to bed.
Goodnight!!!!
